Having recently been infected with a toenial fungus after going with my wife to get a pedicure,  I thought to myself that there must be a treatment other than Lamisil for curing tonail fungus. Lamisil is very expensive not to mention dangerous to your liver.

After searching online for a few minutes I was suprized to see some posts from people stating that they have successfuly used Vick's Vapo Rub to treat toenail fungus.

I kept searching and I found even more people who say that they've cured there toenail fungus by applying Vick's Vapo Rub on their toes along with a few other home made methods.

I went out and bought a couple of the generic Target brand chest rubs after matching the ingrediants to make sure they were identical to Vick's Vapo Rub. It was very inexpensive about 3$ for two 1.76 oz containers.

Since my right big toe was the worst I decided to clip it and file it down a bit beofre applying it the vapo rub.

I've doing it for a couple of weeks now and I think I'm see some results but the toeniails grow so darn slow it will take a while to really see if it is making a difference.

None of the treats I've read about recently are quick fixes and most seem to take months to work. I'll give it some time and then I'll post an update when I've got a little more information on the results.

I've found some treatments including soaking toes in Literine, vinegar and hydrogen peroxide. You can see some of these at the links below.
